It’s the stereotypical hacker outfit. Do it wrong, and you look like you’re still living with mom. Do it right, and you look like a million bucks (in unvested stock options). Here are three items — a hoodie, some jeans, and a pair of sneakers — that are on sale for a great price and worth a look this week.
The Hoodie: Weatherproof Vintage Plaid Sherpa Fleece Hoodie, $29.99 (was $75)
Weatherproof means that it’ll be a little bulkier than other hoodies, but it’s soft. We’re having a mild winter so far, and a hoodie like this will get you a little farther in the season if you’re one of those guys that’s really averse to wearing a coat.
If you’re in the “no seriously, I’m never going to wear a coat” camp then I’d suggest going with something that’s a little bit more robust like the Carhartt Rutland thermal hoodie. A little pricier, but it’s worth it.
The Jeans: Levi’s 501 CT, $29.99 (was $68.00)
I have a pair of 501s, and I wish I had gotten 501 CTs. If you normally wear Levi’s 501s (or jeans of that style) consider these. They taper down through the ankle, giving you more modern lines than the traditional 501 straigt-leg look. Plus at $29 you can just get a pair of these for every male you have left on your Christmas shopping list.
Wear them true to size, down–sized, or up–sized depending on your style. Choose true to size for a classic fit and tapered at the ankle. Size down for a modern, slim fit with a low–slung, easy–wear feel through the hips and thighs, or size up for a slouchy, more progressive look. The hand finishing and quality sundries produces a special pair of jeans—they feel like they were made just for you by Levi’s.
The Sneakers: Puma ST Runner SD Retro, $49.94 (was $75)
Grey suede. Just what you were looking for to complete your groutfit (check out this tumbler for groutfit inspiration).
Throw on these lace-ups for one effortlessly cool retro look! These throwback ST Runner men’s low-top sneakers from Puma are just what every guy needs to complete his style.
