Hoodies/Jeans/Sneakers: April 4, 2016

April 4, 2016 | by Josh

Whether you’re working at a start-up, or working at a company that really wants people to think that they’re hip like a startup, wearing your hoodie/jeans/sneaks is part of the uniform. Do it wrong, and you look like you’re still living with mom. Do it right, and you look like a million bucks (in unvested stock options). Here are three items — a hoodie, some jeans, and a pair of sneakers — that are on sale for a great price and worth a look this week.

The Hoodie: AEO Vintage Baja Hoodie, $25+S&H (was $60)

A pale hoodie at a great price in time for spring. While this is a tad more expensive than the AEO non-Vintage Baja Hoodies (which are available in 5 colors at $20), the fabric has more interesting details and it’s a  seasonally appropriate color. It’s a heavier fleece hoodie though, so if you’re looking for warm weather spring-wear then the non-vintage is the way to go. This hoodie is not a slim fit, so take into account if you’re a slender guy.

The Jeans: Naked & Famous Weird Guy Dirty Fade $85+S&H (was $160)

Use the code FAMILY25 at checkout to get an extra 25% off. That’s 25% off everything sitewide at Friends & Family Sale at Need Supply Co.

This is a very nice pair of jeans at a great price. Whether you’re well versed in the land of raw denim, or you’re thinking about picking up your first pair of raws this is a worthwhile pickup. They start as a deep indigo (as you can see) and will fade over time to what the manufacturer calls “a dirty faded look.” Just don’t wash them, please. Or should you? Sizes are limited.

The Sneakers: Nike Air Odyssey Sneakers, $55 (was $90)

There will always be a soft spot in my heart for old school Nike Airs. Maybe it’s because of all of the branding I was subjected to as a kid, but I like to think that it’s still just cool. I mean, you’re walking on air pockets! That was quite the innovation back in the day!

During the 1980s, Nike made some of the most classic running shoes in history, including the Air Odyssey. Now these sneakers are back and better than ever, designed with a thicker, flatter sole (for added comfort and stability) and a lightweight, breathable mesh and leather upper that looks sharp whether you’re wearing them with shorts on the track or jeans on the weekend.

The Bonus: Original Penguin Polos for $20

This event is over, but the OP Friends & Family sale is still going strong! Discounts are automatically applied at checkout.

Get preppy for cheap! Lots of styles and colors available. This Gingham Polo is calling my name!
