Hoodies/Jeans/Sneakers: July 20, 2015

July 20, 2015 | by Paul

It’s the stereotypical hacker outfit. Do it wrong, and you look like you’re still living with mom. Do it right, and you look like a million bucks (in unvested stock options). Here are three items — a hoodie, some jeans, and a pair of sneakers — on sale and worth a look this week.

The Hoodie: Old Navy Slub-Knit Hoodies, ~$11 (was $25)

These hoodies are lightweight, so beware if you’re looking for serious warmth. And you’ll have to get multiples of every color to hit the $50 free shipping threshold at this price. Maybe shop around a bit instead. Use promo code SUPER to get 25% off any amount. Spend $100 and that percentage grows to 40%.

The Jeans: Bonobos ‘The Blue Jean’ Slim Fit Jeans (Resin Blue), $72 (was $108)

These are part of the great Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Don’t know Bonobos? Check out a review of their Traveler Jeans (different than those above) here.

The Sneakers: Nike ‘Internationalist’ Sneakers, $55 (was $85)

These guys are part of the Nordstrom sale too. Priced so low, you’ll only see this price after adding them to your cart. Gray color is pretty neutral. The ‘Internationalist’ style is very vintage and classic.

The Bonus: Pepper’s Breakers Wayfarer Polarized Sunglasses in White/Gold, $17 (was $45)

Polarized sunglasses are the way to go, especially on the water. Woot.com has these classic-looking sunglasses for a song. A few other colors are available, but I like the white ones.
