Get the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 970 for a Steal at Newegg’s Celebratory 24-Hour Flash Sale

July 28, 2015 | by Josh

Newegg is having a 24-hour “We Win You Win” sale offering up to 77% off of their products right now. Newegg is known for their near-philanthropic court battles against patent trolls that are trying to make a quick buck against technology sites, and they’ve won another big one.

Newegg went against a company that claimed its patent covered SSL and RC4 encryption, a common encryption system used by many retailers and websites. This particular patent troll has gone against over 100 other companies, and brought in $45 million in settlements before going after Newegg. We won. Winning against these trolls has become a national pastime for us.

While work like this makes me feel good about the company, the most important thing that we can do know is let you know what’s great in this sale!

Acer Aspire V17 Nitro Black Edition Gaming Laptop, $899.00 (originally $1099.00)

Acer Aspire V17 Nitro Black Edition

Holy crap this is a great deal on a mobile gaming rig! This is the lowest price ever seen for this beefy gaming laptop according to price-watching sites. It’s powerful even by 6.6-pound laptop standards too: Sporting an Intel i7-4720HQ processor, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 860M, and 1TB of storage. This is a legit desktop replacement for under $1000 and under 7 pounds!

Logitech G602 11 Button RF Wireless Gaming Mouse, $39.99 (originally 79.99)

Logitech G602 Wireless Gaming Mouse

This wireless mouse is a staple if you’re into MMOs, or any other game that requires you to bind a lot of actions or abilities to hotkeys. It looks awesome, and the lack of wires will keep your desktop free from the cord getting in your way during intense fights. If you’re concerned about input lag, worried about the claimed 250 hour battery life not being enough, or if you need more keys to bind, then the Logitech G600 20 Button Wired Optical Gaming Mouse is on sale for $34.99 (originally $45.00). Newegg is being a bro pairing up these two deals for those of us in the market for a new mouse.

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 970 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Video Card, $309.99 (originally $349.99)

Gigabyte GTX 970

While it’s not the GTX 980 (which can be bought as part of a bundle for $469.99), this is a solid deal on what would be a great video card upgrade for the majority of us. If you’re the type of person in the market for an upgraded video card, I don’t think that there’s anything more I need to say to you besides mentioning the $309 price point (!!!) again.
