Get a 500GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD For $150

August 11, 2015 | by Paul

A few years ago, I replaced my laptop’s aging 5,400 RPM drive with a Samsung SSD and it went from tired and old feeling to snappy and new. You may be in the same position. However, unlike my Samsung SSD — a 120GB model purchased for nearly $200 — you can get a monster-sized drive for even less. Amazon has these gigantic 500GB SSDs priced $30-40 cheaper than everywhere else.

Everywhere else, minus NewEgg’s eBay store.

500GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD, $150 (was $270)

Samsung’s EVO SSD models are better bang-for-the-buck than the Samsung PRO models. If you’re into gaming, the EVO is a great upgrade option. If you’re into video editing as a profession, you might want the better write-durability of the PRO.

Upgrade virtually every aspect of your computer’s performance with Samsung’s new 850 EVO, designed with state-of-the-art SSD advancements including 3D V-NAND technology. As the next generation beyond the bestselling 840 EVO, you’ll get the 850 EVO’s new 3 dimensional chip design that enables superior performance, greater reliability and superior energy efficiency so you can work and play faster and longer than ever before.

Need one more reason to buy? Samsung SSDs come with hardware-based full disk encryption. And they’re seriously fast.
