Hoodies/Jeans/Sneakers: August 17, 2015

August 17, 2015 | by Paul

It’s the stereotypical hacker outfit. Do it wrong, and you look like you’re still living with mom. Do it right, and you look like a million bucks (in unvested stock options). Here are three items — a hoodie, some jeans, and a pair of sneakers — worth a look this week.

The Hoodie: Banana Republic Micro-Stripe Double-Knit Hoodie, $20 (was $55)

Gap Co will knock 40% off most items from BR, Gap, and Old Navy when you use the promo code TREAT. This hoodie has a subtle horizontal stripe and is worth checking out — especially at this price.

The Jeans: Gap 1969 Carpenter Jeans (Slim Fit), $22 (was $70)

Another extra-40%-off deal from Gap Co (don’t forget the promo code). These jeans aren’t like the baggy carpenters you wore in middle school. These have a slimmer cut and a trimmer look. And that makes them worth a look.

The Sneakers: Puma Bravery Lightweight Sneaker, $55 (was $70)

DSW has these sharp-looking sneakers marked down. They’re cut like a running shoe, but they don’t look too technical — more office-appropriate than runner chic.
