Back in the day, I had a Nexus One. I let a few years pass, then I got a Nexus 4. The Nexus 5 was great, but Republic Wireless lured me away with their Moto X. But now there’s Google Fi. The problem with Google Fi is that you need the Nexus 6.
And the Nexus 6 has always been expensive.
But that’s not true right now. Right now, you can get one for $350. Probably because there are a bunch of extra ones on the shelves and they need to clear out for the new model(s). If the rumors are true, the new models should be pretty great. But like the Nexus 4, they may be so great, they sell out immediately, overwhelmed by demand. Rumors include a finger-print sensor along with a big-ass battery. Tempting.
Prices on the new model(s) may be more moderate again too, which is nice. But that still leaves this $350 Nexus 6 staring right at me.
Is it too big to handle? Maybe. But maybe … that’s what she said.
