Hoodies/Jeans/Sneakers: September 28, 2015

September 28, 2015 | by Josh

It’s the stereotypical hacker outfit. Do it wrong, and you look like you’re still living with mom. Do it right, and you look like a million bucks (in unvested stock options). Here are three items — a hoodie, some jeans, and a pair of sneakers — worth a look this week.

The Hoodie: Banana Republic Silk Cotton Cashmere Hoodie, $78.50 (originally $98.50)

This will be the softest hoodie you will ever own. It’s 70% silk, 25% cotton, and 5% cashmere. It’s a tailored fit, so make sure to hand-wash it to avoid shrinkage!

The Jeans: Levi’s 511 Slim-Fit Rigid Dragon Jeans, $29.99-$39.99 (originally $68.00)

Darker colored jeans are the name of the game as we head into fall. Macy’s has the Levi’s “Rigid Dragon” color on sale in the slim 511 cut. If these aren’t the right cut or color for you, Macy’s has a ton more jeans at this price point. Check out what’s on sale here.

Note: If you’re willing to do in-store pickup, you can get the price reduce an additional 25% using the coupon code “SUP25.” Yup, that means Levi’s for $29.99!

The Sneakers: New Balance ‘574 – Paisley Pack’ Sneaker, $64.98 (originally $79.95)

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people say, “I just wish there was a paisley pattern on the tongue and liner of my shoe to give it some pop!” Well, New Balance has come to the rescue. It’s just enough of a design detail to catch an eye from time-to-time without being gaudy. It will also make it easy to spot your sneaks when you leave them by the door at a friend’s house! What a fun update to a classic sneaker!
